Apple Cranberry Crisp with Dried Cranberries

The flavors of fall are in this Apple Cranberry Crisp with Dried Cranberries is buttery, made with oats, cinnamon apples and Craisins. Serve with vanilla ice cream!

Ingredients

  • 3 large Granny Smith apples peeled, cored and thinly sliced
  • 1 cup rolled oats unflavored
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup flour
  • ½ cup or 1 stick of salted butter lightly softened
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries or 1/2 cup fresh cranberries
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  • First, preheat oven to 350 F.
  • Next, using a medium bowl, combine apples and cranberries with one 1 tsp of cinnamon
  • Then, in a separate medium bowl, combine oats, brown sugar, flour, 1 tsp cinnamon, and nutmeg and cut the butter into the other ingredients with a pastry cutter or a fork.
  • Next, in an 8”x 8”x 3" square baking dish spray the bottom and sides with cooking spray then put in apple mixture. Top apple mixture with oat mixture.
  • Then, bake at 350F for 1 hr.

Storage: 

Store leftovers in the refrigerator for 4-5 days.
