This copycat recipe of the Winter White Cosmo Bonefish Recipe Elderflower is AMAZING! It’s made with elderfower liqueur (or syrup,) vodka, orange liqueur, and lime juice and measured to perfection. It’s my most popular recipe during the holiday season!

My version is made with vodka, Cointreau (orange liqueur), Elderflower liqueur syrup, white cranberry juice, lime juice and garnished with cranberries. It tastes JUST LIKE it!
This is one of my best trending recipes during the holidays every year since inception!

Winter White Cosmo Bonefish Recipe Elderflower
I just LOVE a chilled Cosmopolitan!
The Winter Cosmopolitan Cocktail at Bonefish Grill is so incredibly delicious, I just had to make a copy cat recipe and this is really, really close! Find out how easy it is to make this popular Winter Cosmopolitan cocktail that is perfect for any time of year!

The original Bonefish Grill Winter Cosmo recipe uses Elderflower liqueur but, I substitute Elderflower syrup instead because it’s cheaper there’s enough liqueur in this cocktail! Trust me!
As a matter of fact, you could make one of these drinks and pour them into shot glasses and just drink them as shots.
I ate dinner with friends at Bonefish Grill and asked the table of young ladies behind us what cocktails they suggested before I ordered one.
They pointed to their Winter Cosmo cocktails and said “This one!” with the utmost confidence. Later I found out that it’s their most popular holiday cocktail and for good reason!
I was hooked at the first sip………”mmmm!”
Then we walked around the King of Prussia Mall looking at the beautiful Christmas decorations from the second floor! I love that mall and for sentimental reasons too.
My mom (R.I.P.) took me there when I was a little girl at Christmastime to ride the train and see Santa. How nostalgic.
The nice girl who suggested the drink happened to be a bartender! I told her about my blog and that I NEEDED to make a copycat recipe for it.
She Googled the recipe and I started with that as my baseline. I tweaked and tested it thoroughly until I made what seemed exactly a perfect match!
Now, you can make them right in your kitchen or bar for a fraction of the cost! You’re welcome!
Winter Cosmopolitan Cocktail Bonefish Grill
*The printable recipe is below. This is an absolutely DELICIOUS cocktail to make with few ingredients:
Use St. Germain elderflower liqueur to get the best flavor for this incredible. I included elderflower syrup as an alternative because St. Germain elderflower liqueur is a bit pricey but, very good!
- vodka
- Cointreau orange liqueur (not Triple Sec)
- St. Germain elderflower liqueur or Elderflower syrup
- white cranberry juice
- fresh lime juice
- 3 fresh cranberries for garnish (optional)
- ice cubes
Put all the ingredients in the shaker along with ice cubes and shake it like you’re on a dance floor!
What is Elderflower?
Elderflowers are the beautiful white flowers from the Elderberry tree. They add a delicate yet, fragrant flavor to foods. They’re commonly found in British desserts and drinks.
Is Elderberry Flower and Berry the Same Thing?
Elderflower berries and flowers come from the same tree, the Elderberry Tree. The flowers are the Elderberry tree blossoms and the berries are the fruit.

Substitutions
- Substitute bottled lime juice if you don’t have fresh limes but, fresh lime juice is best!
- If you don’t have fresh cranberries, substitute lime twists for the garnish.
- I don’t suggest using Triple Sec for the Cointreau because the Cointreau mixes best with the vodka however, if that’s what you have one hand, use it.
This delicious Winter White Cosmo Bonefish Grill copycat cocktail recipe is just what you need for your next holiday party, girls night or just because you want a fabulous drink. After all, you deserve it! Celebrate the season with this amazing cocktail!

I’m glad you like it so much Stephanie and thanks for the 5-star rating!
It tastes exactly like the restaurant! So excited I can make these at home now!
Hi Brian. I presume fresh lime juice in the recipe and not sweetened lime juice. Using ounces in large batch makes sense. I’m glad you made this recipe for 5 years in a row.
2 things – Lessons learned from making this delicious drink for big parties 5 years in a row.
1. Lime Juice – If using fresh lime juice, and it’s bitter, do a 1:1 ratio of lime juice with simple syrup. Not sure if this recipe assumes pre-sweetened lime juice is used or not. From similar recipes on the internet, seems like pre-sweetened is what is used here.
2. This year used AI to convert “tsp” to “oz” measurements, and used it to scale the recipe for a big holiday party. Tsp measurements don’t scale well. Enjoy!! O
I’m glad you found my recipe and gave it a try. Thanks for the 5-star rating too. Do try my Bonefish Grill Crushed Pineapple Martini Copycat recipe too, if that sounds of interest.
I made this tonight and this recipe is exactly like the one I drank at Bonefish last weekend! I’ve been searching for a copycat recipe and decided to try yours and it is spot on perfect! Thank you! Now I don’t have to spend $$$ on my favorite holiday cocktail!
Hi Hailey. I went ahead and changed the 1/4 cup to 2 oz but, the 1/3 cup comes out to 2.66 ounces (for the white cranberry juice) and I don’t want to change that. I’ve tinkered with this recipe to get it to where I think it should be and am not changing it now but, you can certainly round it down to 2.5 oz or up to 2.75 oz. Hope you like it!
I just want to know if why we didn’t measure in oz…:/ the bartender in me is going nuts
Hi Ruth. Please come back and let me know how you like my copycat recipe and please rate the recipe in the recipe card. Happy holidays!
Thanks Sheri! Your friends will love it! Have a safe and FUN holiday season.
I haven’t tried yours yet!. Bonefish in Georgia has a sugar rim on the glass. I’ll be trying your recipe because the one I use does not have the elder flower.
This is delicious! I’m serving it on Christmas ! I can’t wait to share it with my friends! Thanks for being such vigilant tester! You got it just right!
Shantia, I’m glad you enjoyed this recipe so much. I tested it until it came out perfect. Please rate the recipe in recipe card (with stars) if you have time! Happy holidays!
OMG this is Bonefish drink!!! I also used St Germain and the next pitcher I make I’ll only use 1 tbsp of lime juice but, I’m gonna be in trouble this holiday season. No reason to spend $12 on a martini at bonefish anymore!!
Great. I’m glad you liked it. Thanks for leaving a comment and please rate the recipe if you have time.
I made this with St. Germain and it was really fantastic. I substituted lemon juice for the lime juice because I prefer lemon juice in my regular cosmos. This will definitely make an appearance on my martini flights sampler.
Hi Helen. Try adding a little less of the lime juice if you found it bitter. Yes, try the elderflower syrup next time. I know St. Germain is expensive but, tastes sooo good!
My drink was bitter and I guess it’s the elderflower liqueur. I didn’t buy the Saint Germain though. I will try the syrup to see how that is
Hi Helen. I’m not sure. I’ve never worked there. I didn’t know there was a pure cranberry juice. I’ve heard it can be hard to find the white cranberry juice in grocery stores in some areas of the U.S. Therefore, substitutions may be needed to make this cocktail. Hope you enjoy it.
