What do you do when your child has a fever of 102F, it’s 1 a.m. and you ran out of fever reducer medicine? You ask your husband to drive to Walgreens and buy a bottle of Children’s MOTRIN®! I was happy when Walgreens came to our state years ago because I had gone to Walgreens in southern states while on vacation. I was pleased when one came to my local area in Pennsylvania. They have a big selection of products and a trusted reputation. Walgreens is the only retailer to carry all flavors of MOTRIN®products and they’re DYE-FREE!

Our First Scary Experience with Croup
Our blue-eyed, blonde-haired 4 month old son, David, woke up one night at 2 a.m. with a loud barking cough. As a first-time mother, it petrified me. I knew something was seriously wrong.
I frantically woke up my, sleep through an earthquake, husband. We rushed David to the E.R. for what seemed to be a very long, worrisome car ride. When we got to the hospital, I ran into the E.R. with our infant, his bottle hanging out of the diaper bag and the look of a concerned mom. They took us immediately.
A doctor evaluated him within minutes. He had the croup virus but, was going to be o.k. David looked absolutely adorable in his little peach-colored hospital gown. A nurse popped her curious head into our room and said “I heard there’s a really cute baby here.”
The Ah Ha Moment
David has had croup at least once a year since that night. I couldn’t understand why he was getting croup year after year. Finally, he was old enough to get tested for allergies. Sure enough, an allergist said he is asthmatic which, makes croup even more troublesome for him.
I’m very familiar with the signs of croup and how to care for it.
Every time we go to the hospital for croup, we’re there for 2-4 hours, sometimes longer, because the doctor wants to make sure he doesn’t relapse from the medication.
It’s always a long night in the E.R.! In the morning we have to go to the pediatrician for a follow up visit to see if he needs oral steroids followed by a drive to the pharmacy to pick up his prescription.
Walgreens Care Story
Several months ago, David had a very bad case of croup. After a long night at the E.R. and a follow up doctor’s visit the next morning, we went to Walgreens to pick up his prescription. We were exhausted. By the time we pulled into the Walgreens drive thru, I just wanted to ask a few questions, get the prescription and go HOME.
I asked the pharmacist questions about exactly what each liquid prescription did and how often to give it to him. She was very helpful and I trusted her direction. I also asked if he could consume the prescription medicine with MOTRIN® to reduce his fever. Both the pharmacist and the pharmacy tech were very helpful in explaining what I needed to do to care care of my son.
After an exhausting night, I needed a little empathy and that’s exactly what I received at Walgreens. They answered my important questions, showed genuine concern and wanted to help.
David and his little brother were asleep in the back seat. I was so glad I didn’t have to wake them to bring them into the drug store when both of them would have been groggy and whining. It was very convenient to pick up his prescription and MOTRIN® at the drive thru with a pharmacist only steps away.
Never wake a sleeping baby, right? And, when they’re sick you really just want them to rest and get better. I left the Walgreens drive thru happy that morning.
When I’m sick myself, I drive to the Walgreens drive thru and get what I need without spreading my sick germs to others inside the store.
Because when mom’s sick, you don’t get a sick day!!

Children’s MOTRIN®is the Parent’s Choice for relief. It starts reducing fevers in as little as 15-20 minutes and lasts up to 8 hours! That’s what I like so much about Children’s MOTRIN®. It works quickly and through the night.
Why We Use Children’s MOTRIN®
I feel so relieved knowing MOTRIN®will keep down my son’s fever through the whole night. He’ll can get a better night’s sleep along with the rest of our family. I ALWAYS have MOTRIN®on hand, especially during cold and flu season and feel better knowing I have it.
It comes in handy to use with ear infections too because it doesn’t just reduce fevers, it relieves children’s pain too. “MOTRIN® feels their pain” when they can’t tell you exactly what’s ailing them but, they still feel the pain, just like you.
I still have the little peach hospital gown David wore when he was 4 months old. But, now “Freddie” the kangaroo wears it when he is “sick” and needs his temperature taken. .
