This warm up coffee is great for a cold, damp winter day when you’d like a little spiked coffee after a long day of shopping, decorating, or taking the kids to Christmas activities. This spiked coffee has one of my favorite coffee accompaniments, Bailey’s Irish Cream along with coffee liquor and Amaretto!
I don’t put liquor in my coffee often, but, it is a nice twist once in a while, especially at the end of a meal instead of dessert. Oh, did I say instead of dessert? Usually, it is in addition to dessert but, sometimes I like to be good and skip dessert. Tiramisu Eggnog Cocktail is a dessert in and of itself.
In the cold winter months, it is so comforting to sit down on the couch, next to the warn fireplace with a hot cup of coffee, wearing a warm pair of fuzzy socks after the kids are in bed. This is very relaxing to do after a day of shoveling snow or in my case, playing in the snow with the boys. Bad backs are not good for shoveling snow…ever!
I made these festive cranberry white chocolate cookies to go along with the coffee. They go very well with the spiked coffee. So, Christmas Eve, we’ll be putting out some cookies and this coffee for Santa to warm up in between delivering gifts to homes. I can’t wait to do this tradition in a couple weeks with our 3 and 4 yr old boys.
I overheard our boys last week pretend calling Santa. One of them said “Uh, Santa. I want to know when you are coming.” Then, our other son says “Tell Santa we need snow for Christmas!” I was surprised they didn’t recite a long list of what they want for Christmas. I wish I could have recorded that conversation. I will surely miss the days in which our boys were little when they grow up. Toddlers make Christmas even more special.
