A Raspberry Mule is a tasty version of Moscow Mule cocktail using Chambord raspberry liqueur, vodka, lime juice, ginger beer and mint leaves. It’s crisp and refreshing.
Moscow Mules have a crisp, citrus, and refreshing taste and are one of my favorite cocktails. I can hear the ginger beer fizzling now.
Since I posted my Limoncello Moscow Mules recipe and saw how popular they became, I knew I needed to make some more variations. Ginger beer is a great cocktail flavoring. It’s refreshing and not too sweet which, I like a lot.
As a matter of fact, feel free to use diet ginger beer if you prefer to save calories and sugar.

Raspberry Mule
I planted ONE mint plant so I would have free mint for my mojitos, mules and iced tea, now I have enough mint to supply a mint factory. Therefore, if you want access to fresh mint, only plant one!
You’ll need a muddler (affiliate link) to make this recipe as listed below.
Ingredients
- 7 fresh mint leaves
- 1 cup of ice cubes
- 1 oz vodka
- 1 oz raspberry liqueur
- 1/2 tsp lime juice
- 2 oz ginger beer (affiliate link)
- 4 raspberries and 1 lime slice for garnish (optional)
After you muddle the mint, add the remaining ingredients except for the garnish into a copper mug. I like using the copper mug (affiliate link) because it keeps the cocktail very cold! Plus you can use it for other cocktails. It makes a great gift for the Moscow Mule lover.
I have a Copper Cure set and like it because it includes the copper straws and coasters too.
What does a raspberry mule taste like?
A raspberry mule is made with raspberry liqueur, vodka, ginger beer and lime juice. Therefore, it has a crisp citrus-like taste flavored with raspberry.
Why do you drink Moscow mules out of a copper mug?
The copper conducts the cold temperature and keeps the drink cold longer than in glass or plastic. This can be very useful during the summer months.
Is there alcohol in ginger beer?
No, ginger beer is non-alcoholic. It’s more like ginger soda and is not as sweet-tasting as ginger ale.
What alcohol is in a Moscow Mule?
Typically, vodka is the primary alcohol in a Moscow Mule as ginger beer does NOT contain alcohol. Hope you’re not disappointed. However, as variations of the drink have begun, other alcohols may be added to make other flavored mules. As a matter of fact, you can use white rum instead of vodka if you like.
