How to Make Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies Recipe

Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup chunky peanut butter (or creamy peanut butter)
- 1/2 cup butter or one stick, softened
- 1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup of white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups Quick or Old Fashioned Rolled Oats
- 1 1/2 cups of flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
- First, preheat oven to 350F.
- in a large mixing bowl, add butter, peanut butter, white sugar and brown sugar and mix until combined.
- Then, continue to mix and add eggs followed by 1/2 cup of flour at a time. Mix until combined.
- Next, add baking soda, cinnamon and salt and continue mixing.
- Then, add oats and mix.
- Next, stir in the chocolate chips.
- Then, add one inch round cookie dough onto cookies sheets spaced 2 inches apart.
- Next, bake for 8-10 min on 350F.
- Last, let baked cookies cool on cooling racks.
I use these 3-tier cooling racks to save counter space! They make a good gift for young adults living on their own.
Storage:
Store cooled cookies in an air tight container for up to five days or freeze them for up to six months. You may also freeze the cookie dough for up to six months and bake the thawed cookie dough.
