Orange Strawberry Mimosa Slush
First, let’s talk about mimosa definition. It’s basically just orange juice mixed with champagne. I’ve seen lots of variations and here’s one more to add to the list!
You’re going to be surprised at how I made this mimosa slush. I used a strawberry popsicle to make it slushy.
Although, I did use a good quality strawberry popsicle like Outshine. You can really taste the strawberry flavor in it. A homemade strawberry popsicle would be really great to use in this recipe!
Don’t be alarmed by the mixture of champagne and a popscile. It is great together. I just love the fizz the champagne brings to this cocktail!
Of course, you could put in ice cubes and fresh strawberries in place of the popsicle but, if you have a strawberry popsicle on hand, it makes it easier.
So, go dig into your freezer and pull out one of your kids’ popsciles.
Maybe you’ll want to put it in a thermos and take it to your kid’s soccer game. I know, don’t give you any ideas!
So what is the best champagne for Mimosa?
I think the best champagne for mimosa is Korbel. If you use a sweet champagne like Asti Spumante, it comes out too sweet, in my opinion. However, some people love sweet drinks so, I’ll let that up to you if you want to use sweet or dry champagne.
