Aren’t these cupcakes cute? I like making fun and simple cupcakes with my kids for Halloween parties or just because. This Halloween cupcake idea is super easy. With as popular as monster cupcakes are these days, you can’t get much easier than this!

Monster Eyes Cupcakes
Use whatever cake batter and icing you like for the cupcakes. You’ll need three candy eyes sizes: small, medium and jumbo. See below for how many candy eyes you’ll need to make 24 cupcakes.
The placement of the candy eyes is key when decorating the cupcakes. You want to make sure the different sizes are spread out to some degree which makes gives the illusion of being far and near or just plain silly.
You could also use purple or orange colored icing, colored eyes or red vein eyes instead.

If you’re decorating 24 cupcakes with candy eyes, you’re going to need a lot of candy eyes! If you can buy value size do so but, you could also make 6 or 12 instead and decorate the remaining cupcakes any way you like.
Here’s an approximation of how many you’ll need to make 24 Monster Eyes cupcakes:
- jumbo candy eyes: 1- 2.5 oz bottle will give you about 62 jumbo eyes which is 2 to 3 per cupcake.
- medium candy eyes: 4- 50 ct packages
- mini candy eyes: 3- .88 oz packages
