This tasty milkshake is perfect for chocolate mint lovers! It’s a vanilla milkshake flavored with Oreos, mint extract and made green with green food coloring. This Mint Oreo Milkshake is a quick, delicious and refreshing ice cream dessert that’s also perfect for St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.
Oh Mint Oreo, how I love thee! Chocolate mint is as good of a combination as chocolate and peanut butter in my humble opinion. Mint Oreo Cheesecake Brownies are one of my creations.
Ice cream is possibly one of the best food inventions ever! I’ll never forget when my sweet-tooth baby boy had ice cream for the first time ever. His facial expression, grinning from ear-to-ear said quite clearly without him uttering one word or sound “Where has this been all of my life?”

Ice Cream Desserts
To make this delicious Mint Oreo Milkshake, add vanilla ice cream, milk, mint extract, Oreo cookies and green food coloring (I like using assorted food coloring so I can use the other colors to dye eggs at Easter) to a blender and blend it for about a minute. Top it with whipped cream and some cookie crumbles and sip away!
See the exact recipe below and the printable recipe at the bottom of the post where you can rate the recipe after you make it!
Also, you saved yourself about $9 in not having to buy it from a trendy ice cream shop. It hits the wallet hard when you have to buy them for your whole family. Make it at home and save yourself nearly $40.
Now, if you’re making this green milkshake for St. Patrick’s Day, then check out my other St. Patty’s Day fare. This milkshake would be a great dessert after my Ultimate Shepherd’s Pie with Beef and Pork.
Plus, it’s a fun recipe to make with your kids or grand kids. My kids’ faces lit up when I said we’re making a milkshake. They couldn’t wait for me to take the pictures so they could drink it. And drink it they did…in about 1 minute! Oh, be care of a brain freeze.
