Have you ever folded a fitted sheet and the result looks like a big linen ball that just came out of the dryer? And if someone walked past it, they wouldn’t even know it was folded. How is that going to fit in your linen closet? See my 90 second “how to” video on You Tube!

I’m pulling out my domestic skills here and am going to show you how to do it. I believe I saw this once when Martha Stewart was a guest on a talk show so, I can’t take all of the credit. My husband, Paul, filmed it while our boys (ages 3 and 4) patiently and quietly watched. I know, I was surprised they stayed quiet for 92 consecutive seconds too.
- Take the corners and put them inside of one another. You are basically folding the fitted sheet in half and tucking in the corners.
- Form the sheet into a rectangle as perfectly and neatly as you can.
- Fold the rectangle in half.
- Fold the newly formed rectangle in half again.
- Fold the newly formed rectangle in half one last time.
Your folded fitted sheet will look almost as neatly folded as your flat sheet. I know will sleep better tonight knowing how to fold a fitted sheet like a pro. Sarcasm? Yes, that was sarcasm.
Knowing how to fold a fitted sheet is just one of those little domestic tricks that will make you feel accomplished… for about one minute.
I thought this would be a somewhat interesting and/or helpful post if you like nicely folded laundry like I do. This is when I take after Sheldon Cooper (Big Bang Theory TV sit com) except, that I don’t do my laundry on Saturday nights at 8 p.m. I’ve been wanting that nifty shirt folder he used on that one episode ever since I saw it.
Please comment below if you’ve found this blog post and video helpful. I know there are many other similar videos on You Tube but, I thought this may be a good first video for me. A special thanks to Vanessa, our video editor.
