First, you should know that I’m no stranger to a good cocktail recipe. I have some viral cocktail recipes on this website such as Winter White Cosmo Bonefish Grill Copycat and White Christmas Sangria.

My Limoncello Mojito has been one of my most popular cocktails too.

I just love the strawberry lemon flavor combination. There’s something spectacular about lemon with fresh berries. A strawberry vodka cocktail is so pleasing, especially on a hot day.

The fresh strawberries bring a natural sweetness and vibrant fruitiness that balances the sourness of the lemon. Muddling the strawberries releases their juices, intensifying the flavor and giving the strawberry vodka martini a smooth, refreshing taste.

Plus, the fresh ingredients enhance the overall freshness of this great cocktail, making it a delightful and sophisticated drink.

This pink cocktail is perfect for Valentine’s Day when fresh strawberries are on sale. As a matter of fact, you just may have some strawberries left after making pink chocolate covered strawberries or other sweet treats.

Additionally, this cocktail’s pink color makes it perfect for female gender reveal parties or baby showers where a pink drink is oh so fitting.

Save this recipe for strawberry season! Juicy strawberries and fresh lemon juice will take this recipe to the flavor limit!

It’s an easy cocktail that everyone will enjoy at happy hour, parties or special occasions.

Can I make this cocktail recipe into a mocktail?

Sometimes, your kid will walk up to you and ask you for a non-alcoholic version of what you’re drinking. Perhaps, you need an alternative non-alcoholic version for a party. You can make a mocktail version simply by omitting the vodka and adding s splash of club soda or lemon lime soda for some fizz. Serve it in martini glasses for some elegance!

Fresh Lemon Juice

I suggest using only fresh lemon juice in this cocktail recipe because it will add fresh taste to the drink. You may be tempted to use strawberry lemonade in place of the fresh strawberries, fresh lemon juice and simple syrup but, the fresh lemon juice and fresh strawberry juice add so much to this cocktail. Plus, you can make simple syrup on your stove top.

Summary Instructions

First, make the red sugar rim.

Next, clean three fresh strawberries (the fourth one will be used for garnish) and remove the stems.

Then, in a cocktail shaker, using a muddler, muddle the strawberries to extract the juice. Be sure to muddle them long enough to get the strawberries into very small pieces.

Next, add ice to the cocktail shaker followed by the vodka, simple syrup and fresh lemon juice. Shake it and then pour it with or without the strawberry pulp into a martini glass or cocktail glass. If you don’t care for the strawberry pulp, strain it out with the cocktail shaker lid.

If you want a sweeter cocktail, add little simple syrup more.

How to make Simple Syrup

In a small sauce pan, on stove top medium heat, combine equal parts sugar and water and stir until the sugar is dissolved up to one minute. For this recipe, use 2 tbsp plus 1 tsp of sugar and 2 tbsp plus 1 tsp of water. You may like it sweeter. In that case, double the amounts and find your sweet spot.

This Strawberry Lemon Drop Martini is the perfect cocktail for so many occasions: Valentine’s Day, Easter Brunch, or Mother’s Day Brunch. Also, it’s an easy summer cocktail that’s refreshing on hot summer nights.

Garnish it with some fresh blueberries for a redish and blue cocktail for Memorial Day and 4th of July. It’s a delicious cocktail for any time.
