How to Make Lemon Rosemary Chicken Marinade
This Lemon Rosemary Chicken Marinade is so easy to make! It’s so much better than a bottled marinade!
In a large bowl or one gallon storage bag, put in 1/4 cup of EVOO, 3 tbsp of chopped fresh Rosemary, 2 tbsp of fresh lemon juice, 6 cloves of minced fresh garlic and 1 tsp of Kosher salt. Add the boneless skinless chicken breast and store in your refrigerator for at least 2 hours but, 3-4 hours renders the best flavor!
Then, just grilled the marinated chicken for 10-15 min on your preheated grill. That’s it!
Can I make grilled chicken in the Air Fryer?
Yes. For this recipe, place the chicken drained from marinade, into the air fryer and bake on 400F for 20 minutes or until the juices run clear. How long to bake the chicken in the air fryer depends upon how big are the chicken pieces. Bigger pieces of boneless chicken will need to cook longer. When checking if the chicken is done, always check the thickest part of the chicken.
What Can I Make with Grilled Chicken?
Grilled chicken is so versatile! Add it to:
- green salads
- sandwiches
- wraps
- panini
- pasta salads
- pizza
- serve along side dishes like Dill Red Skin Potato Salad and Deviled Egg Macaroni Salad.
Add this recipe to your meal plan! It freezes well. Take this chicken to work or school in meal prep containers.
Grilled Lemon Rosemary Chicken is Keto approved, gluten free, and low carb. Make a big batch and serve it at parties. Everyone will love the fresh flavor of this marinated grilled chicken recipe! It’s great for that diet you’ve been meaning to be on!

Hi Joanne,
Just getting back to you to let you know that the oranges worked super great in this recipe. I even put orange segments into the marinade and let it marinate over night as we had a change in dinner plans Sunday night. Made it last night and Oh My Goodness!!! it was wonderful. Not as zingy as lemon, but just as delicious. My husband liked it with the oranges much better than the lemon, so I will be making this often for him. Thank you
I haven’t make this recipe with oranges however, I think it will work and probably well. Also, use the zest of the orange. Please let me know how it turns out.
I have made this recipe often & everyone loves it. i have some fresh oranges I have to use. Do u think they would work well with the rosemary?
Thanks Kathi. It’s great to make in an air fryer. Try it with my Parmesan Rosemary Potatoes too.
Can’t wait to try this recipe in my Air Fryer Grill. Thank you so much for posting it. With roasted red potatoes and a green salad – I have a meal.
You’re welcome and thanks for the 5-star rating!
It won’t be as flavorful as the fresh rosemary but it should still be good. I’d add an extra tsp of dried. Hope you like it.
Fantastic dish. Thank you also for the Air Fryer directions – I love cooking that way.
Can’t find fresh rosemary right now…Can you use bottled?
