An Espresso Martini with Baileys is the perfect after dinner cocktail or anytime you’re feeling for a coffee cocktail. This easy recipe is made with espresso instant granules so you don’t have to brew it.
An espresso martini is so good-tasting and adding Baileys liqueur to it only makes it better. This recipe is a little like my Chocolate Espresso Martini. It’s a great cold alternative to drinking hot coffee in the afternoon during the blazing hot summer.

Espresso Martini with Baileys
When you make this delicious cocktail, you’ll want to add the espresso granules to the milk first before adding it to the remaining ingredients. Otherwise, the coffee granules will not dissovle completely. I’ve tested this.
I also suggest using top shelf liquor if at all possible. It will make a difference in taste.
Now, if you’re thinking “When will I ever use instant espresso granules again?” You can use it to make Tiramisu and Tiramisu Cheesecake or any coffee flavored dessert.
Ingredients
- 1 tsp instant espresso granules
- 1 oz whole milk
- 2 oz Baileys
- 1 1/2 tbsp coffee liqueur
- 1 oz vodka
- 1 cup ice cubes
Instructions
- First, add milk to a measuring cup.
- Then, add the instant espresso to the milk and stir it well.
- Next, add about a cup of ice to a cocktail shaker.
- Next, add the milk, Baileys, coffee liqueur and vodka.
- Then, shake the cocktail shaker until it’s well mixed.
- Last, pour the mixture into a martini glass and enjoy.
Sprinkle some ground nutmeg on it, if desired.
Also, if you don’t have instant coffee granules, you may substitute a shot of cooled espresso coffee.
What liquor is best for an Espresso Martini?
Vodka and Kahlua coffee liqueur are best for espresso martinis. Adding Baileys just makes it even better.
Can you use Baileys instead of Kahlua in an Espresso Martini?
This recipe uses both Kahlua and Baileys. Using Kahlua in an espresso martini gives the cocktail more coffee flavor than the espresso alone. However, you can omit the Kahlua if you choose.
This Espresso Martini with Baileys is a delicious and a refreshing after dinner cocktail or or dessert cocktail on a hot summer day. Of course it’s great any time of year but, especially during the holidays.
