This chicken dish is made with a simple, yet tasty honey balsamic sauce that’s not very sweet. You probably already have all of the ingredients, except the chicken of course, on hand in your pantry.

With only five minutes of prep and ten minutes to cook, this chicken main dish ready in a flash!

What kind of chicken to use

You can use thin chicken cutlets for this recipe or boneless, skinless chicken breasts and cut them into smaller pieces.

However, you may also use bone-in chicken thighs, if that’s what you have on hand but, obviously you’ll need to cook them much longer.

The best part of this recipe is that it’s a flavorful meal that comes together with little effort and a short cooking time.

Honey is one of my pantry staples. I like to have it on hand. It’s great for cooking when I like to add some natural sweetness to recipes.

Many honey garlic chicken recipes are made with soy sauce, but this one is a little different in that it’s made with balsmic vinegar instead. It gives it a different tang and has far less sodium than soy sauce, even low sodium soy sauce so you have more control over the sodium.
