Because I have mint plants growing on the side of my house, I seem to have an endless supply of mint, which is not a bad thing.
Easy Mint Melon Fruit Skewers
These fruit skewers are perfect for entertaining because you make them ahead of time. Plus, they have an appetizing, colorful display for a buffet table. They can be served with appetizers or with desserts.
They’re great little fruit snacks to put in lunches too. I use four-inch long, wood skewers to make them. They fit in sandwich baggies for lunch.
Kids love fruit so this is perfect for cute after school snacks or to serve at gatherings.

As I’ve mentioned above, it’s easy to make these fruit skewers. Just be sure to use ripe melons so you get sweet and juicy results!
Ingredients
- 5 oz watermelon (without rind and seeds)
- 5 oz cantaloupe (without rind and seeds)
- 5 oz honey dew (without rind and seeds)
- 48 fresh mint leaves
- 12 –4″ wooden skewers
This is a healthy, vegetarian appetizer everyone will like. It’s simple and elegant making it perfect for brunch. Serve it with your favorite fruit dip!

Easy Mint Melon Fruit Skewers
Equipment
- 12 4 inch wood skewers
Ingredients
- 5 oz watermelon (without rind or seeds)
- 5 oz honey dew melon (without rind or seeds)
- 5 oz canteloupe (without rind or seeds)
- 48 mint leaves
Instructions
- First, cut the melon into one inch by 1/2 inch pieces.
- Then, begin placing in this order on the skewer: mint leaf, cantaloupe, mint leaf, watermelon, mint leaf, honey dew, mint leaf. If you have room, you can add another piece of cantaloupe. Repeat until you've filled all of the skewers. Cover and refrigerate for eight hours or overnight so the fruit can pick up the flavor of the mint.
