Easy Limoncello Spritz Cocktail
To make this delicious cocktail, you’ll need Prosecco sparkling wine and Limoncello lemon liqueur. I store my Limoncello in the freezer to keep it as cold as possible. The colder it is, the better it tastes. It’s not a liqueur to drink at room temperature.
NOTE: Limoncello will not freeze when stored in your freezer.
Additionally, chill the Prosecco too. It should be cold for this drink but, do not freeze it. Freezing it will kill the bubbles and lessen the flavors.
You may be wondering if you can serve the drink with ice. Yes, you can serve it with ice to keep it cold.
What is a Limoncello Spritz made of?
Usually a Limoncello Spritz is made with three parts Prosecco, two parts Limoncello and one part club soda.
However, you’ll notice this recipe doesn’t include club soda. I don’t add it because it dilutes the flavor of the Limoncello, especially if you serve it with ice.
This alcoholic drink is perfect for brunch! It’s similar to a mimosa but, stronger. Make a pitcher with ice and lemon slices. It will be a hit. Serve it with mint leaves for some more color.
