Coming from a family of Italian immigrants, I know a thing or two about Italian liqueurs- Strega, Sambucca, amaretto, Annisette (my mom R.I.P. put this in her coffee when guests stopped by,) martini, etc.
Of course I also know a thing or two about authentic Italian recipes, so be sure to check them out as well!

Ingredients
*The full printable recipe is in the recipe card below where you can adjust the servings.
- good-quality, fresh eggnog or homemade eggnog
- Disaronno Amaretto Liqueur
- white or dark rum
- cinnamon sticks (for garnish and flavoring)
- ground nutmeg (for garnish and flavoring)
- ice cubes
This simple recipe is best made with a good-quality eggnog. If possible, go to a dairy where you can find fresh eggnog. Even better, make it yourself. But, I know there is only so much time in a day, especially around the holidays.
Disaronno Amaretto Liqueur
Use Disaronno amaretto liqueur because it’s the best, in my humble opinion. I use it in my Cappucino with Bailey’s and Amaretto and Bailey’s Irish Cream with Amaretto and Kahlua and it’s incredible!
Rum
As for rum, I usually use Bacardi, but, using Captain Morgan in this drink instead would be good too however, it will be sweeter.

May your holidays be filled with warmth, laughter, and the delightful sips of this seasonal elixir. From our glass to yours, here’s to a joyous and flavorful celebration.
Cheers to the magic of Amaretto Eggnog, the taste that lingers long after the last sip, leaving you with the sweet aftertaste of cherished memories.
Happy sipping while making new memories with those who mean most to you. Happy Holidays!
