  • garlic head or 10 individual garlic cloves
  • extra-virgin olive oil
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • salted butter (you may use unsalted butter if you prefer)
  • fresh parsley

First, you’ll make the roasted garlic either using a conventional oven, toaster oven or air fryer: Cut the top of a whole head of garlic, give it a drizzle of olive oil, salt and pepper and place it in a piece of tin foil.roasted garlic butter recipe

Easy Homemade Roasted Garlic Butter Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1 head garlic
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • salt and black pepper to taste
  • 4 tbsp butter (salted or unsalted)
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley

Instructions

  • First, allow butter to come to room temperature so it can soften.
  • Next, using a sharp knife, cut the top of the garlic bulb.
  • Then, place the unpeeled bulb of garlic onto a 6x6 inch or larger piece of aluminum foil. 
  • Then, pour 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil, pinch of salt and black pepper if you'd like.
  • Next, close the foil tightly and place on baking tray.
  • Then, roast in preheated oven or toaster oven for for 40–60 minutes or in air fryer at 400F for 20-25 minutes or until the cloves are soft and golden brown. Allow garlic to cool a bit before handling.
  • Then, squeeze the roasted garlic cloves out of the skins and place in a small mixing bowl.
  • Next, add the room temperature butter to the mixing bowl. If butter still isn't softened from sitting on your counter, use microwave to soften it but, be sure not to melt it.
  • Then, chop fresh parsley and add it to the butter mixture. Add additional salt and black pepper to taste.
