With all of the celebrated holidays during the year, you’ll spend a lot of money buying decorations for each of them. If you are only the tiniest bit crafty, you can make some decorations yourself and have fun doing it. The decorations for this cute DIY Dollar Store Easter Wreath only cost me $8 and I re-purposed an old grape-vine wreath. Get your glue gun ready!

How to Make a DIY Dollar Store Easter Wreath
I’ve been saving this grapevine wreath for years thinking I would someday decorate it. I had torn off the previous outdated decorations and saved the wreath. Yesterday, I was getting greeting cards at the Dollar Tree and saw these cute Easter decorations for, you guessed it, $1 each! For $8, I decorated my grapevine wreath and it only took me 30 minutes!
Steps to make DIY Dollar Store Easter Wreath
The steps are included in the captions of each picture but, here is a quick synopsis.
- Wrap the blue burlap ribbon around the wreath and glue the ends.
- Fasten the faux purple flowers to the side with pipe cleaners.
- Cut the egg loops and tie the foam eggs to the wreath.
- Fasten the Easter sign to the wreath at the top and bottom.

- Tie the Easter bow to the wreath with pipe cleaner to cover the flower stems.
- Add a pipe cleaner on the back, top of the wreath to hang on my front door.
This is a step-by-step tutorial plus You Tube video of how to make a ribbon bow that will aid you in making your own DIY Dollar Store Easter Wreath for under $10!
I realize that not all Dollar Stores or Dollar Tree stores have the same merchandise but, you can find similar supplies. You may even find a grapevine wreath. Also, you may find a similar “Hippity Hoppity Easter’s on its way” sign or a cute bunny or chic.
First, set up supplies: ribbons, flowers, sign, pipe cleaners, scissors, eggs, hot glue gun and grapevine wreath NOTE: I added extra 4 more eggs that are not pictured here.

Next, wrap blue burlap ribbon around wreath. Fasten end of ribbon with hot glue.

Then, cut faux purple flowers’ stems, leaving 3-4 inches on the ends.
Next, tie ends of faux purple flowers tightly with a pipe cleaner
Then, insert pipe cleaner through grapevine and twist tightly to fasten
Next, fasten purple flowers tightly to grapevine wreath
At upper end of flowers (opposite end of stems) fasten flowers to the wreath with a second pipe cleaner
Next, cut loop of foam eggs
Then, tie eggs to grape vines in clusters of 3 eggs and place a few inches apart in between gaps of burlap ribbon.
Untie loop of Easter sign. Weave the string through 2-3 grapevine pieces and fasten tightly.
Sign tied tightly to grapevine wreath
Add hot glue to burlap ribbon at the bottom of the wreath where the sign will lie on top.
Next, press sign firmly for 20 seconds on top of glue so sign can adhere to ribbon.

Finally, using pipe cleaner, tie Easter bow to wreath tightly over top of the faux purple flower steams.
