Grilled kabobs are great but, sometimes you don’t want to be bothered with assembling the skewers and potential grill fires. These marinated Teriyaki beef kabobs don’t use skewers thereby minimizing the prep time.
They are “deconstructed” a.k.a. “stickless kabobs” because they were never constructed which, is how the kabobs end up so why even use a skewer? Perhaps you don’t own skewers or you can’t find them and don’t feel like running out to the market to buy them. Aren’t you glad this recipe doesn’t use skewers?
Clean up is easy because you’re only using a sheet pan, one bowl, a knife, and a cutting board. There is little prep and clean up. Sounds great when you don’t have time to spend in the kitchen.
The Teriyaki marinade is tasty and you could even shorten the marinating time but, I suggest doing the whole hour so the sweet, salty and citrus flavors can penetrate the beef and tenderize it.
How to Make Deconstructed Sheet Pan Marinated Teriyaki Beef Kabobs
This recipe is quite simple. Just buy beef cubes, cut them in half to shorten cooking time and marinate them for one hour in Teriyaki Sauce, honey, fresh ginger and garlic, orange juice, and olive oil. While the beef is marinating, you can prep the rainbow bell peppers and onion. Arrange the marinated beef with the peppers and onions on the sheet pan and pop it in the oven on 400F for only 30 minutes! Serve it with rice and you have a complete meal with with little clean up!

Although I love grilled kabobs, sometimes it is too windy, cold or raining to use the grill and the oven is more practical. Flipping kabobs on a grill is not always easy either. I also don’t like to spend extra time constructing the kabobs with beef, pepper, onion, repeat, repeat, repeat!
This recipe is much faster than the traditional grilled kabob recipe using skewers and you don’t have to check the grill every ten minutes to make sure it isn’t on fire! Oh, do I have grill fire stories! I just lit up a whole pound of asparagus last week! “Charred” is the appropriate term!

Like most of us, I’m in favor of meals that have minimal clean up. This recipe is easy with only 15 minutes of prep time plus marinating time and 30 min in the oven. The flavorful beef is tender and the peppers are sweet with some crispy edges. It is a low fuss flavorful, filling meal your family will enjoy.

Hi Paula. You can buy beef cubes or “stew” cubes and they’re found in the meat department near the beef steaks.
What type of beef do you recommend?
Hi Ethan. It would be about 1 cup to 1 1/2 cups per serving.
Hi what is the serving size for this recipe
