Christmas Moscow Mule Pitcher

A Christmas Moscow mule is a festive twist on a traditional Moscow Mule which is typically made with vodka, ginger beer, fresh lime juice and muddled mint leaves, which makes it more fitting for the holiday season.

One of the things I like best about a traditional Moscow Mules is it’s not too sweet of a cocktail. I feel as though there just aren’t enough of them.

This delicious alcoholic drink (a.k.a. Yule Mule) is made with vodka, apple cider, cranberry juice cocktail, ginger beer and lime juice. This Yule Mule doesn’t use mint leaves, like my Raspberry Mule, as I don’t feel it tastes good with the cranberry juice and apple cider.

The cinnamon stick and rosemary garnish add a little flavor to this drink too.

Do try my White Christmas Sangria!!! It went viral on Pinterest in December 2023 and I have high hopes for it this holiday season as well. Add them both to your list of Christmas cocktails.

Use your  favorite vodka and ginger beer to make this crisp and tasty cocktail. Make a big batch of it for holiday parties. Be sure to add the ginger beer just before serving because it’s carbonated and will lose it’s fizz over time.

It’s a festive drink to sip while wrapping gifts or snuggled up on your couch watching Christmas movies. “Elf” is one of my favorites.

I have a few good-tasting Moscow Mule recipes on this website. Try my tasty and popular Limoncello Moscow Mule too or my Moscow Mule with Rum.

I like using a copper mug (affiliate link) to make Moscow Mules because it keeps them ice cold while I’m drinking them. They make good gifts too. The box could possibly fit in a large stocking.

Do I need a cocktail shaker?

No, you don’t need a cocktail shaker to make this drink. As a matter of fact, I don’t recommend using one because the ginger beer is carbonated. Therefore, it would be like shaking a bottle of soda. You only need to stir this drink well.

Is there alcohol in ginger beer?

Many people assume there’s alcohol in ginger beer because of the name but, ginger beer is non-alcoholic. However, it’s different tasting than ginger ale which is also non-alcoholic.

What alcohol is in a Moscow Mule?

Traditionally, Moscow Mules are made with vodka however, they can be made with white rum instead. They’re called a Rum Mule.

What can I garnish holiday drinks with?

Fresh rosemary sprigs, cinnamon sticks, and fresh cranberries will make your drinks look festive. However, a Moscow Mule is usually served with a lime wedge, which happens to be green and in line with the holiday spirit.

Now, let’s get to the recipe.
