This delicious Cappuccino is made with Baileys Irish Cream and Italian Amaretto liqueurs, a single shot espresso and frothy, fresh whole milk! You can’t get this drink at Starbucks! Perfect for brunch. It’s gluten-free.
Americans have grown to love cappuccinos but, unlike Italians, we drink them all day long, not just in the morning.
It’s wonderful to be able to make them at home where they’re less costly than novelty coffee shops and you can add some spike from your liquor cabinet to them too.
Cozy up with a tasty cappuccino, on the couch with your cat who likes jumping on your feet every time they move under a blanket. It’s so relaxing.

Cappuccino with Baileys and Amaretto
I like using top shelf liquor because the quality makes a big difference in taste but, I know it can be hard on the wallet. However, you can use it cooking too.
Baileys Irish Cream
Baileys takes coffee to another level. It tastes great both in American coffee and espresso. It can be put into frosting and I’ve made dark chocolate truffles with it too.
I’ve also made tasty drinks like Caramel Iced Coffee, Espresso Martini with Baileys and Caramel Baileys Rum Chata Coffee Slush with it.
It tastes really yummy in an Irish Cappuccino too.
Disaronno Amaretto Liqueur
Additionally, Amaretto pairs very well with coffee even using just a little bit. I’ve used amaretto to make incredible Chocolate-Dipped Amaretto Biscotti that are perfect to eat with coffee, alone in a quite corner of your house where no one can find you except the dog.
I absolutely LOVE cappuccinos and drink more of them than I’d care to admit.
You can make cappuccinos with a reasonably priced milk frother.
My mom (R.I.P.) always used a moka coffee pot to make her expresso, which she drank by the mug. I suppose that’s who I get my love of coffee from.
You can make espresso at home inexpensively with the moka coffee pot like the one below which comes in cute colors too!
Ingredients
- 1.5 oz shot of espresso
- 3.5 oz of frothed whole milk (or almond, soy, or oat milk)
- 1 tbsp Baileys Irish Cream liqueur
- 1 tbsp DiSaronno Amaretto liqueur
- 1-3 dashes of ground nutmeg (optional) It’s so GOOD with it!
The printable recipe is in the recipe card below.

Substitute almond milk, soy milk or oat milk in the same quantity if you need/want to.
This is a delicious drink to have after dinner or anytime you want to spike up your cappuccino. It’s a coffee-lovers treat!
