Asian Ground Turkey Lettuce Wraps
I’m so glad I started experimenting with Asian ingredients and recipes. I was impressed with a marinade I made for my Grilled Asian Hoisin Beef Kabob Bites on the first try. Recently, I bought mirin sauce at the suggestion of another food blogger and wow is it good!
Mirin sauce when coupled with soy sauce makes a wonderful marriage of flavors. It really enhances the flavor of the soy sauce. The sesame oil helps give it the Asian flavor too. You’ll love the yummy, crispy tid bits of turkey that are left in the pan after you scoop out your turkey. The aroma in your kitchen while cooking this turkey will leave you anxious to try it. This recipe reminds me of Turkey Burger Bowls with Sriracha Honey Sauce but, without a lot of the carbs.
This is one of those low-carb dishes that taste so good you forget you’re not eating a lot of carbs. With a flavorful meat and crispy lettuce, you’ll forget all about pasta and bread at least for a short time. Lol!
The only carbs to consider are the ones in the Mirin sauce. It’s not a lot of carbs per serving so, I’d still say this is a recipe you could eat on a Keto diet. But, you decide if it meets your level of carb intake.
I just love the flavors in this recipe. It’d taste great with rice too. Plus, you can add some chili peppers to it if you want to add some extra spice.
When you’re looking to reduce your carbohydrate intake, these flavorful Asian Ground Turkey Lettuce Wraps will fill you up with protein and satisfy your hunger to eat something good! In about 20 min, you can make this tasty low-carb meal!
