It takes much less time to bake potatoes in an air fryer than it takes in a conventional oven. I made 4 small baking potatoes in just forty minutes! I didn’t even microwave them for a minute beforehand.

Baked Potato in Air Fryer

Ingredients
- 4 small baking potatoes (russet potatoes)
- 1 tbsp EVOO (extra virgin olive oil)
First, wash the potatoes thoroughly and pat them dry.
Then, brush the potatoes with oil. Don’t forget the bottom.
Next, place the potatoes in the air fryer and set the temperature to 400F and timer for 40 minutes.
I suggest brushing the potatoes with oil if you plan to eat the skin. It also makes the potatoes look rich and colorful.
Should baked potatoes be wrapped in foil?
You don’t need aluminum foil to make this recipe. Plus, you don’t need to pierce the potatoes before baking them.

What kind of potatoes are for baking?
Russet potatoes have a crispy skin and a fluffy center. They’re perfect and widely used for baking. However, any potato can be baked.
If you want to make fewer than four baked potatoes, it will take less time. If you want to make two potatoes, check the potatoes at 30 minutes.
